Jalecia is a wife, mama to three & certified birth doula of 8 years. She loves to spend time with her family, cook, garden, tend her chickens & spend time outdoors. Jalecia's holistic approach to life has really helped to shape the support she provides to her clients, although she has supported a wide range of births over her years of experience. Building personal relationships with her clients has always had her heart in this work, but that's not to discount her passion to support, care for and empower her clients to achieve the birth experience they desire! |
As a doula I find it important, not only to stay up to date on current information, but also to continue educating myself & finding ways to improve my client support.
Some of the certifications & trainings that I have attended include:
-CPR certified
-NRP certified
-Creating Space: Pelvic Dynamics & Fetal Positioning for an Efficient Birth
-Supporting Posterior Babies: A Shift in Perspective
-Acupressure
-TENS unit

What is a doula?
A doula is someone who is trained to support women in labor & birth as well as through pregnancy & the postpartum period. Doulas provide physical, emotional & educational support. Research shows that having a doula present leads to more positive outcomes in birth.
